Typography profile builder

Create your own Dyslibria reading profile

Dyslibria includes ready-made presets, but this page lets you build your own.

Use the builder to adjust how Dyslibria adds emphasis, spacing logic, and reading anchors. Preview the result as you go, then export a profile that can be reused anywhere Dyslibria profiles are supported.

Self-hosted admins can add profiles in library settings. Developers and CLI users can pass the exported JSON directly into the converter.

This is an advanced tool, but the workflow is simple: adjust, preview, export, reuse.

Choose a preset

Start from Dyslibria Default, Balanced, Focus Support, or another research-informed baseline.

Tune the reading feel

Use the compact controls for the big reading decisions, then open advanced settings only when you need lower-level engine access.

Save a valid config

Every export is normalized into a converter-safe JSON profile that self-hosted admins and developers can reuse.

Presets first, full engine access when you need it

Start from a research-informed preset, tune the reading feel with the compact controls, and open the advanced panels only when you need lower-level engine access.

This name is written into the saved config JSON and reused by hosted imports.

Choose a custom profile name before you copy or save the JSON. "Your Profile" is only a placeholder.

Whole-word, language-aware support with stronger structural guidance, calmer spacing, and a focus-first default reading rhythm.
Leave this on auto if the content language changes book to book.
Choose how conservative the generated EPUB styling needs to be.
Choose the kind of help you want most, and Dyslibria will retune the current preset around that goal.
Turn this up if you want clearer guidance on the page, or down if you want the text to stay calmer.
74%
Choose whether help should mostly land on full words, or whether the engine should also hint inside harder words.
Controls how much the engine looks at endings, compounds, and trickier letter groups when deciding what needs help.
Makes the engine guide more around sentence starts, paragraph leads, and punctuation breaks.
Shorter lines can make it easier to keep your place; wider lines feel more like a standard page.
Adds more breathing room if the page feels crowded, or keeps it tighter if you prefer a compact look.
This profile normalizes cleanly and is ready to save.

Need lower-level control?

Open the advanced panels for direct access to language-aware parsing, front-load emphasis, visual styling, and experimental rendering switches.

It was on a dreary night of November that I beheld the accomplishment of my toils, and the rain pattered against the panes while the candle burned low.

With anxious care I watched the room grow still, waiting to see whether the creature before me would wake and move.
